Help for Heroes Clay Pigeon ShootFriday, 17, Sep 2010—A charity shooting event was held at Westfield Shooting Grounds (near Cheltenham) in aid of ‘Help for Heroes’ (H4H). The aim of the event was to raise enough funds to enable injured servicemen and servicewomen to be sent on a flying scholarship.

The sporting clay shoot was held over 7 stands of 4 ‘pairs on report’, where shooters were required to shoot one clay target first and on firing, the second clay would be released. At the end, the teams were required to shoot in a 100-clay-bird-target flush, where the targets were released overhead by a computer controller. The shotguns used were mainly 12-bore.
